About the Role
We are seeking passionate and professional tattoo artists to join our team as Instructors at Raven Studio Tattoo Academy (RSTA). In this role, you will guide students through structured courses and labs, teaching both the technical and professional skills required for a successful career in tattooing.
As an Instructor, you will deliver engaging lessons, demonstrate techniques, and provide constructive feedback to help students grow in confidence and ability. You will also support seasoned tattoo artists through advanced training sessions, sharing your expertise in specialized techniques and professional practices.
This position requires strong communication skills, flexibility, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and artistry. If you are passionate about tattooing and eager to help raise the standards of the industry, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging lessons and labs that align with RSTA’s structured curriculum.
• Demonstrate tattooing techniques and best practices with clarity and professionalism.
• Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to students at varying skill levels.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation standards are taught and modeled at all times.
• Assist in the development of course materials, slides, and presentations.
• Support advanced training sessions for seasoned tattoo artists looking to grow their skills.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to create a positive and professional learning environment.
• Track student progress and provide updates to leadership as needed.
• Participate in faculty meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
• Represent RSTA’s mission of raising industry standards through professionalism, respect, and education.

Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of professional tattooing experience (preferred, but not strictly required).
Strong understanding of tattoo techniques, industry standards, and best practices.
Experience creating and delivering educational presentations (slides, visuals, and demonstrations).
Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate both in-person and online instruction.
Strong communication skills with the ability to teach students of varying skill levels.
Commitment to health, safety, and sanitation standards in line with RSTA’s policies.
Willingness to mentor and support students in both technical skills and professional development.
Ability to work collaboratively with other instructors and staff in a team environment.
Comfort with technology (Zoom, Moodle, or other online platforms) for hybrid learning.
A positive, professional attitude with a passion for education and raising industry standards.
